The Ian Langley Group - Reggae for Real (And Other Rhythms)
Posted on January 11, 2006 by ed

Emphasis on "Other Rhythms." This is probably one of the top five in demand library LPs on the Peer International label, and for good reason. After you get past the bland "reggae" instrumentals (come on now, what library record doesn't have at least one or two bad tracks), this record than begins to get interesting.
The b-side of this record is solid all the way through; which includes "dancefloor" tracks like "Chicano Chaser" and "Semi Santana" and experimental ones like "Moon Baby," "Amazon Trail," (complete with primitive drum machines), and "Frantique" (see audio).
Side A:
Reggae for Real
Trumpet Reggae
Reggae Chick
French Progression
Soul Ship
Groover
(All credited to Ian Langley)
Side B:
Chicano Chaser (Langley)
Semi-Santana (Langley)
Amazon Trail (Roger Roger)
Moon Baby (Nino Nardini)
Frantique (Nino Nardini)

Hi Arno, that could be the case, I’m not 100% positive though. Both Nino Nardini and Roger Roger are credited on a few tracks on side two of this LP.
Hi ed,
Thanks for your answear…
Is it possible to give me the title of the tracks where they are credited ? That would be very kind !
Thanks again,
Arno
Arno, I saw your post on the Vinyl Vulture Forum — I responded there and also added the full tracklist to the review.
Thanks a lot Ed !
I just love Roger & Nardini… A couple of fantastic musicians !
Thanks again !
Arno
