yellow balloon

Great pop psych lp on the Canterbury label that would appeal to fans of the Beach Boys, The Zombies, The Hollies, The Kinks, The Free Design etc. etc.

I’ve got a 45 of the song “Yellow Balloon” (the b-side, like “They’re Coming to Take Me Away”) is the same song backwards — the label’s even reversed. Great “teeny bopper” (as the label cites) pop song.

Oh, GOOD GAWD!! Robbie from “My Three Suns”!!, you guys heard a “Nuggets?! And yeah, it’s a great album. now what the Hell was Robbie’s real name…Don Agratti? Yep, that was Don Grady’s real name. Anyway, that’s him, second from left, with the glasses, and cleft chin, and the dude on the far left is Billy what’s his name, from Dino, Desi, and Billy fame. I’m surprised that “Sundazed” hasn’t re-issued it. (they’ll put out ANYTHING!)
