Los Locos Del Ritmo: Pólvora
Posted on March 4, 2006 by hcrink

Another cool record on the Dimsa label. Their name translated into English is "The Crazy People of Rhythm"(?), and I ended up finding out that they were fairly popular in Mexico in the late 50's/early 60's - and are in fact regarded by some as one of the better non English language greaser-rock groups of the era. I was confused about this for a while cause my copy of this record says it's from 1974, but I guess it's just a repress. If anyone has more knowledge to drop on these guys, please feel free to do so. Untill then, enjoy this nice slightly Latinized version of Ray Charles' "What'd I Say"
