John Keating: Space Experience
Posted on March 18, 2006 by hcrink

Johnny Keating was yet another victim of the whole "a Moog will make me appear younger & hipper" syndrome. But overall this is really a pretty decent cheesey listening Moog funk lp. Of the mostly contemporary (at the time) pop covers that the album is comprised of, his version of "I Feel the Earth Move" is especially nice. I don't belive it ever saw an American press, as it's on the British Studio 2 label, but it's really not too painfully hard to find.

It was indeed issued in the US. On the Columbia label by CBS. Look at your picture. It has the Columbia logo in the upper left hand corner.
I recently transferred my quad lp to dts cd format and it is available for download on demonoid.com . It’s all free if you care to d/l. Email me at xj23@yahoo.com if you need a password.
Cheers!
ahhh… cool - thanks! yeah, that pic is one I got off the web. Mine is a brit press. was just too lazy to take a pic of it.
his album is from Australia, and he made a part 2 as well:
1972 space experience (LP Columbia/EMI Austalia Q4 TWO-393)
1975 space experience 2 (LP EMI TWOX 1044 (OC 062-05959)
I can email you mp3 copies of this album as its getting very hard to find
Would love mp3 copies. I’ve been searching for these for quite some time to replace originals of Space Experience 1 and 2 that were stolen many years ago.

This album can be found on the eDonkey network. Get the emule client and search all of kad for archives.
Does anyone knows where to download #1 and #2 albums. Does Keating made any other album or this is the only one?
Sorry to be a pedant but this is not a Moog album!
The only synth used is the Electronic Music Studios (EMS) VCS3.
Amazing record though!
I used thisw in a college TV club production and made a mess of the closing credits. I have been looking for this album since 1975 or 76. If anyone knows whwere to download it let me know
Thanks

The Startrek Theme is great too on this. John Keating did do other stuff before this though I never found anything else quiet like this. Spaced Out by E. Light Hugo M. K.P.M. …………The rabbit hole keeps getting deeper. Did I say K.P.M……………
very good
Can someone contact me - I have been trying to get Space Experience 1 & 2 for years here in US.
Any help is muchly appreciated !!
