Ronnie Brown-S/T

This album is a recording of a live concert performance which took place at the Balboa Bay Club in Newport Beach, CA, circa 1976. I didn’t see any label information on the record or the sleeve. As a matter of fact, the only thing on the sleeve is what you see in the picture that I had posted. There aren’t any liner notes so I wasn’t able to find out any information about Ronnie Brown and his supporting personnel.
This album sounds like the music that you hear when you’re at a restaurant eating dinner with your significant other. In other words, this album is pretty boring. The only thing that saved this from going in my sell/trade pile is his cover of Aquarius & Let The Sun Shine In, particularly the latter. While this album is pretty dull, those two songs pump new life into the album.
If you see this for less than $5, then you should get it. Otherwise, just walk away.

boring seafood restaurant jazz.
i smell a new graemlin

Crink,
Thanks for the knowledge dropped. I had no idea who this guy was nor did I have any information about him outside of his name. I had bought this record a couple of years back from Dan Berkman, the proprietor of the online music store called http://www.jumpjump.com (Add his store to your links page).
Ed,
That graemlin was just cheered me up!

haha! I grew up right near Newport Beach. His records are still pretty common there. You found this in GA? That is a trip! But yeah, I had this one and then there is another later one that is even worse. Like you said, just kinda boring seafood restaurant jazz.
