when it comes to Waking up with Joyce, I’ve found that the best way to make sense of the senselessness is to read aloud with a select, appreciative audience and plenty of cake - Guiness Cake is a particularly good match. I have performed the role of the “first Washerwoman” from FW and found a handy recording. This record you have features Siobhan McKenna who was that mighty Gaelic thespian. Where did you come by the record?
My FW reading group (ie fellow cake eaters) would be curious to find out …

I think I found it in a thrift shop here in California. It’s a fun listen, no doubt.
