Salvashun: the Time Has Come

This album was an unexpected surprise for me. At first glance I was thinking that this Lp was going to be some Xian/Rock nonsense. But since there was a Neil Young cover I began to think better of it. After proceeding to pay the exorbitant amount of .50 cents I took the record home for a spin. As soon as the needle dropped on the first track I knew I had found something worthwhile.

Not much is known on this band from Ohio. I've spent the past several months trying to track down any information about it. I've been able to come up with a tentative release date (1971 ?) and that is about it. Manufactured by the famed Queen City Album Company, this slice of Ohio goodness delivers on several tracks. With influences ranging from Neil Young (obvious) to Buddy Holly (not so obvious) and The Adams Family (?) this Lp is the real deal. The vocals are shared by a female and male counterpart, with the female vocals sounding eerily like N. Young.

Well, enough about my take on the LP, here are 4 tracks that I have picked for everybody to enjoy.

Listen: "Southern Man", "In the Beginning"

"Diary of a Mad School Girl", "the Time Has Come"

what’s the qca number? that will give you a pretty accurate date for the release.

111512 are the numbers that are on the back jacket and dead wax. The record label is Revelation and it was manufactured by QCA. Does that help any?

It does. QCA numbers were pretty accurate. So, this record was pressed in November 1971.
