Bangkok 17 – I’m Somebody

I found this two years ago in Bangkok and bought it because of the cover and the name of the band. I was positively suprised when I first listened to it at home. While the two songs on side a of the 7″ are quite cheesy side b offers 2 great interpretations of well known songs. Especially "I Am Somebody" is a beautiful tune. The hook even has a light afro feeling and a dope organ solo at the end of the song. While not everybody might be down with the singer I like the charming and hard to understand way he interprets the English lyrics of the song. If anybody can add a little more info or knows about any other releases of the band please let me know.

Thanks, it’s a cool tune. There isn’t by chance a group picture on the backside of the cover? Would love to see the look of this band.
