Bettye and Milt – Feelings Of

bettyemilt

Introspective and intimate Piano and Vocal Jazz LP from Kansas on the Simba label. Features Bettye Miller on Piano, Milt Abel on Bass and Wallace B. Jones on Drums. The LP was recorded for the Topeka Jazz Workshop at Washburn University. Mostly really laid back tracks but "By The Waters Of Babylon" picks things up a bit.

This is my dad. I listen to this album all the time at the house. this is my favorite track. The way Bettye and Milt play together, you can tell they were so in love. Thanks for posting this for all to enjoy.

What an “Awesome” jazz duo. I’m from Miss Bettye’s home town–Clinton, Mo. The Henry County museum only has articles and pictures. How would they go about getting a download of the music?. I had Milt and son play for parents 50th anniversary. Thank you for this selection!

  3. From a time in my past to now, what a wonder of music set in KC, what an uplifting memory as music is my life and Bettye and Milt Abel ignited this journey of jazz. Now, tasting the sounds of the day, the past and beyond it will always center in on this duet of harmony and love. What a blessing for me to have had such an opportunity to partake in listening and learning and just being there, “What a life,” to begin at 15 years of age.
Milt II I hope that all is well with you and your sister. Shalom!
