Eddie Baxter: Super Organ
I realize that after uncovering possibly thee DIY keyboard gem in Ron Lasiter, master diggers made of lesser stuff would probably just rest on their laurels. Wallowing in their new e-fame, visions of fantasy dancing in their head, they’d become lazy and complacent. Disgusting. I am no such person. For I’m still out relentlessly “diggin’ in tha cratez” to bring you, the good readers of Waxidermy, the next big thing in vanity-label keyboard-madness. And my friends, I think I may have found it in “Super Organ” by Eddie Baxter.
As you can tell by the cover this is no ordinary organ. Oh no – this is a super organ. And while I’m no organist, I can only imagine that such an organ would eat some alive – going through organists the way a fat man goes through toothpicks after eating corn on the cob – but not Eddie Baxter. No sir. He is definitely up to the challenge.

I have at least 1 other lowery organ record, but its not nearly as good as this. I would play with this organ.
duck n roll!!!
In the Sixties Eddie Baxter used to be the house band at a local restaurant in Redondo Beach.
……I should of said act!
Found Eddie in the late 60’s… thought he was so cool playing R&B on a LOWREY.
I saw Eddie Baxter live in the mid-1960s at a shopping center in Southern California. He was amazing, but limited himself, not playing some of the more uptempo material he did because he didn’t have drummer with him. Too bad he didn’t have a drum machine then!
That’s my grandpa
