Dee Dee Bridgewater: "Afro Blue" Trio 1974

Supported by her brothers Cacil and Ron on this Japanese only issue LP. Dee Dee’s vocal skills get a serious workout on the title cut Afro Blue, a driving belter that does to these ears deserve the adulation it has received over the years. With all of that said I’ve always been drawn to her version of “People Make The World Go Round” a direct and mellow cut with more than a hint of spirituality.

I love Dee Dee’s version of People Make the World Go Round. I sure would love to hear Love Vibration off this album. Could you please make it available? Thanks a bunch.

I loved Dee Dee Bridgewater and listened to her alot in the 70’s. Please tell me where I can find Afro Blue or the cd that has People Make The World Go Round. I looked for it in the 70’s with no luck and I’d really like to have it.
