Edward E. Levin – Live Game

Edward E. Levin has been operating his “Magic Piano Shop” since 1971, giving lessons and tuning pianos.

He still enjoys composing, though a cerebellar stroke in 2009 impaired his ability to perform.

This 1980 LP features an odd parody of the Monopoly board game.
One of the game squares simply reads,
“FOLD BACK FOIL TO EXPOSE CHICKEN.”
(I believe this refers to pre-microwave TV dinners.)

The sleeve has a quirky homebrewed aesthetic, as does the music.

Zoom in for a closer look as you listen to “Don’t Go Now.”

Whoa, that is a heavy drop in. Terrible/awesome in a sort of out-of-tune piano tuner way. I live somewhere between vegie way and the utility: heavy hand of government intrusion. Fantastic.
