Estudiantina Electronica – Colombianas con vestido Hippie
A fun instrumental exploito record from Colombia 1974. The cover, with face painted hippie chics and the title, “Colombians in Hippie Clothes”, promise at least some psychedelic music. The drum-organ-guitar-bass combo has more of a cool South American surf/go go sound but derails frequently enough. In fact, I was initially a bit disapointed in this record, but ended up using more than half of it’s songs on various mixes. There’s something fresh about it, if you can get past the novelty/silly stuff. But no, there’s no fuzz or electronics. Only god knows what’s meant by Estudiantina Electronica. Have a listen:

que yo quiero los mp3.. cómo los consigo? :P jeje
Hi, Estudiantina Colombia never existed. It`s just a mere fake to present a record previously known as “Tradición in Transición” from a project called Los Electrónicos.
Los Electrónicos released their album in 1971. A mixture of fuzzy, surf sounds on colombian music. Estudiatina Colombia was that same repertoire, changed in order and names (they usted to shown in english).

Could you possibly list the song titles? Thanks for the great post!
Second the request for track titles, if not a scan of the back cover!
What about the phone numbers of the chicks on the cover?
