Rodan
Bay area psych funk with a hard rocking rhythm section, wailing, wah-ed out guitars, and bombastic horns. The more I listen to this album the more I wonder if this was a Christian group. Found it in a four for a dollar box 6 months ago where it’d probably been sitting for years. I knew nothing about it at the time – just took a chance based on the neat-o cover.

ahhh… good news on the reissue. Everyone I’ve played this for flips over it. thanks!
Whoa! Pretty blown away by the soundclip! What’s the rest of the album like? Reissue?
the rest is great. very bay area “horn rock” sounding, but way more tripped out and raw than a lot of other stuff you’ll hear. if you follow the link that josh posted it looks like a reissue is due from the guys who made it.
I can’t wait.
something new to add to my wants’ list; photographic lp cover memory in action. sounds more like funk than rock, at least this track does. wonder if there were any 45s released off this lp? definitely dope!
