Tim Heintz: Plays the Yamaha Electone E-70
One of those records that keyboard companies used to fund to show off their new gear – in this case the Yamaha “Electone E-70”. This one is actually quite a fun listen if, like me, your idea of a good time is video-game-core versions of pop songs of the late 70’s. There is a pretty tripped out version of the Star Wars theme, but my favorite track is his version of Steely Dan’s “Peg”. Something that any major dude should be able to appreciate.
Mr. Heintz circa ’78 and ’88…

That verion of Peg is completely mental.
HOT!
For a minute there I thought I had defeated Black Crow and saved the princess from another picture.
I knew Tim Heintz back in the hayday of the Electone Festival. I think I even had an autographed copy of this album. The Festival was an annual contest sponsored by Yamaha to promote their Electone line of electronic organs. See the enclosed link for more information on all things Electone. Keep in mind that Tim’s Electone music was played real-time on a single instrument with no overdubbing or sequencing.
welcome louis! i must ask, did you also know our other electone friend, mr. ronn lasiter?

hahaha!
They actually have another mid-80’s looking Tim Heintz lp at a local Salvo, but it looks really bad. He has a horrible Flock-of-Seagulls style hairdo. I almost bought it just to post the pic.
Hi , Where to find a copy of that album ? Really interested , it reminds me a good time..
