Year 2000: Future Generation
Year 2000 released this cassette in 1990. Shockingly banal, yes. Facile, but earnest. Don’t give up too soon – the temperature rises in the 2nd stanza.
The first time I played this tape, I was looking for some make-out music. I took a chance. Needless to say, our make-out session didn’t flow too well. Frequent outbursts of laughter. But my girlfriend and I still like each other a lot, and we want the whole world to know.

when i get real crazy i scream and shout, that I am not George Michael, but still, I am deep and full of soul, in that 90’s sort of way. and my girl is content to play second to my awesome riffs … and i think i like her, and she says she likes me too.
I was not adequately prepared.
That made me all melty. Deep inside, where it counts.
