Charle Tapia: "With Soul" (Soular)

Mr. Tapia is a flamenco guitarist, in the same vein as Jose Feliciano, who performed at lounges and Mexican food restaurants in the San Fernando Valley. He is backed by The Classmates, a band on the drums, guitars and vibes. Dig on this bad-ass cover while chowing on carne asada and sipping on margaritas.

Hello everyone. My Dad Ray Jaramillo the owner of Soular Records and producer and trumpet player on this album “Carlos Tapia with Soul” passed in 2004 Sept. 9th. I was only about 7 yrs. old when that album photo cover was shot up the street from the record company on Selma ave. Soular Records which was at the Cross Roads of The World offices. My mom Josie which you may remember is still living in New Mexico. We have all my dads records, contracts and papers in storage unit. I will try to look for them when I can. Carlos Tapia, I know you well and I would watch you practice at office many times. It would be nice for you to contact us to say hello to my mom Josie. Email: tryitplease@gmail.com so we can connect with you.
