Clem Hutchins – White Cloud

Fantastic outsider country dig from Louisiana or Texas. I can't remember. Clem sounds like a combination between Old Man Death and an ancient Indian Shaman. He has Moondog-like percussion rumbling under a strumming guitar as he belts out a weird ode to the afterlife all in mystical metaphors. Unearthly wild stuff. The flip is like a Mexican saturday night hoedown. He has an album I'd love to hear. And a few more singles… Sounds like this stuff literally came right from the soil. Real deal!

The Lp is fantastic with a different and far superior version of White cloud on it! Is he still around???

Hi Mike – I’ve heard he was tracked to no avail. Would love to hear the whole LP if you have a rip of it. Drop me a line at: hobbes@wcvt.com

    I’ve been after a copy for a while…
