Evelyn Lohoefer DeBoeck: Music For Movement Expression

movement expression

I was pretty totally unprepared for an avant jazz freak-out on an Educational Activities Inc. record, but that is exactly what a couple tracks on here are. Prepared piano with bass and percussion that reminds me of something you might hear on an ESP-Disk lp. The rest is quite good too but it's more of a modernistic piano trio affair. In fact, the only thing I dislike about it is that it has those annoying locked grooves that cause you to have to cue up each track manually.

Thanks, I like it. The track is a bit aimless in the beginning but as soon as they hook on to a mutual rhythm it get’s pretty exciting.
