Who Needs All Those Expensive UK ‘DARKGOTHICACIDFOLKPSYCH’ Bad Dates?

….when this homegrown 2 girls/1 guy trio actually do sound haunted. Sure, a handfull from over there make the right moves but lots think having a recorder warble after some lines about a graveyard or other silliness "captures the true otherworldliness that so permeates the sound"; uh-huh, that's really been written in catalogues to get you all worked up over some of those type Lp's tho thankfully not by me. A first listen might have you thinking this's just more modern altrock but that's selling it short - they're singing about ghosts, lost souls and things akin in an unobvious way with mildly minor key/spooked loose, full, uncluttered sound. The first BREAD LOVE & DREAMS or TUDOR LODGE come to mind sound-wise tho this being from over here lacks the stuffy properness that doomed those two and so many others of any genuine atmosphere. This has just the right touch of unsettledness to get under your skin, stay there and have you feeling a bit uneasy. It's perfect for the Autumn/Winter rustling leaves/howling wind/chilly air mad Halloween vibe.
