Jeff Moore – the youngest son

Along with Bent Wind this is one of the most rare psych/folk lp's outta Canada. It usually sells for over $1000 so I was excited when this was reissued in a limited print run of 300. From what I can tell it's a high school record from 1974. It's a nice mellow delicate folk/psych record that really grows on you. There's a little bit of everything here, a few loner folk cuts ("is it you" being my favorite) a few femme tracks featuring Christina Becker and even a little flute and sax on a couple of songs.

  1. Jeremy played this while we enjoyed salmon schmeared onion bagels. I was intrigued and now I fear I will not be complete without a limited reissue. I am dealing with it, and have since purchased two tubs of salmon bagel schmear, in hopes of rekindling some of that magical, mystical listening setting.

I was at a record show in Toronto recently. A vendor was selling a relatively knackered copy for $100. Probably could have brought him down to $75. Should’ve bought it. Dang.

naw, that copy in toronto was TOTALLED. buying it would have been total record-as-object fetish. he said that someone offered him 50 after the show if he didn’t sell it though, so yeah he was taking offers.

  4. Hi there to all of you. I am absolutely floored that this little project that I did when I was 16 has become sought after. I had two original songs on the album. I would be interested in knowing who produced the limited edition.

Well you have found me. This was my album done when I was 16. Christina was kind enough to call me and let me know some were looking for the record.

The boys from Belgium call me too. I just wish that they would get a better handle on the time zone changes…
