When I heard Lalo's soundtrack to the movie "Bullit" I became so smitten that I spent about a year searching for his other soundtracks. About the time I had roughly 75% of them, I realized that none were really quite as good. This one, the soundtrack to the 60′s detective show "Mannix", is one of the better ones though. "The Shadow" being an especially cool track on here. The TV show is good too – Mannix is smooth enough for the ladies, but don't let that fool 'ya, he's tough as nails!

thanks for pointing this one out, I too got right into Lalo’s music. I loved the show when it was on but what you forgot to mention is Mannix always got beat up in a fight!
Someone reissued this on CD, no? I know, I know, but what can one do? I’ll have to dig it out of my bin and see if it’s the same…
