Lisa: No Lo Sabes Todavia

As near as I can tell by trying to read the notes on the back of this lp with my non-existant understanding of Spanish, “Lisa” is from Cuba via Florida. I guess Lisa is either a very uncommon name where she comes from, or she was a Madonna-like mega-star who achieved single name recognition. Anyhow, this is very much in the style of pop diva lp’s you’ll find from Mexico and probably many other countries south of the border. There are several standard dramatic ballads, but there are also a couple of very cool funky tracks that are as good as anything I’ve heard on a record of this type. Check out the title track for an example of the latter.

    boy oh boy!

yu know, in france as in many countries, musicians and fans alike wonder wether one can “rock” when singing in French.
I guess in America the question of wether it’s possible to be groovy in Spanish is aroused.
Now I got an answer ;-)

“you don’t know yet” is the translation. If you email me the notes I’ll translate. This is a fantastic song, really. The rest must be fantastic, too. Anyway, nobody who has at least 5, 10, 15, 300, 1000 records at home can say what AROBO says: “I guess in America the question of wether it’s possible to be groovy in Spanish is aroused. Now I got an answer “. I wonder what kind of records he has listened to… Too much Guns n’ Roses, maybe
