Terry Telson: While In Exile

I just don't quite understand dudes dropping a G plus on motherfuckers like BIXBY while records like Terry Telson are still out there getting little to no shine. He's lonely, too broke to afford a full-color sleeve, and yours for a mere fraction of the price. What more do you need? Seriously though, this is a truly outstanding and moving lp. Solid original tunes in a sustained downer mood, and his switching up on instruments gives it a refreshing sound that many of his acoustic guitar heavy contemporaries lack. Check out the almost Neil Young-like vibe on the mellow, keyboard driven, outlaw tour de force "When Evening' Comes".

    NAGC(omment).

This is a really nice folk/songwriter album. Whether it deserves (or should be burdened with) the label “loner” is debatable. As for the Dave Bixby comparison, again, beside the point. Telson doesn’t really sound anything like that and Bixby is way, way rarer, that’s why it goes for the big bucks.

This is really great someone plz 2 poast moar slept on loner LPs. I will buy this from anyone if you do not ride.

Let’s get real. No way Telson could deal with Lou Ferrigno for an hour a week without cracking up and blowing the whole deal wide open.

This is good, but with Bixby; well its obvious drugs have damaged his brain (as they have mine).Bixby is a unique “real people” Lp as good as most anything I own. As a recovering addict and devout Christian I can understand him.

Unlike most private press loser folk bozos, this guy has a voice that delivers both precision and personality.

  6. Hi to all,
There has been quite a bit of interest in my album “While In Exile” which I appreciate. I have sold the last saleable copy of the jacketed edition of this album, however I have posted the full mp3′s from it on my site for any that may be interested in listening to and downloading it. It is for your noncommercial listening pleasure.
    thanks,
    Terry Telson
