The Trio – a splendid time is guaranteed for all

Here's the kind of oddball record I live to find, eat your heart out Langley School. This is a crazy one, Villa Park High School vocal music department presents: A Splendid Time is Guaranteed by all by The Trio which consists of Dan Bullock, Tim Reeder and Chris Caines. Pretty much the entire album consists of cover songs: a Beatles medley of "Good Day Sunshine", "If I Needed Someone" and 'I've Just Seen a Face". They also do their take on The Beatles "This Boy", "Ticket to Ride", and "Picture Yourself". Other covers include California Dreamin, Neil Young's "Birds" and The Turtles "Happy Together". They save my favorite cut for the last song on the record, their downright bizarre cover of Bowie's "space oddity". In my opinion they nail it in that "real person" kinda way. Truly a bizarre album that is still way under the radar and obscure.
