According to the cover, Thunda From Downunda was the first all Australian Heavy Metal compilation LP. It was released in 1986 on the tiny (this is maybe the label's only release) Ocker label. The compilation featured the following bands: Red Alert; Lightning Rock; Godspeed; Warren Mason; Lotus; Metal Mercenaries; Dearrow & Scott Abrahams. They really cover many different genres of metal from instrumental guitar to basic punk influenced stuff to NWOBHM sounding stuff to speedier offerings. Fun stuff, complete with a heavy metal Ned Kelly on the front cover including bullet belt with 1/4″ jack plugs instead of some bullets, nice touch.
